Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Architect to join our growing team in Cape Town. As an Architect, you will lead design projects from conception to completion, developing innovative solutions that integrate sustainability and aesthetics. This role encompasses being a key player in collaborative design meetings, preparing detailed drawings, and ensuring compliance with building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual sketches and 3D renderings for client presentations.
• Review and approve contractor submittals and shop drawings.
• Review project designs for compliance with safety and accessibility standards.
• Lead collaboration sessions with multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct post-occupancy evaluations and gather feedback for future improvements.
• Mentor junior architects and interns to foster professional growth within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design
• Master's degree in Architecture preferred

Experience

• 2-4 years of practical experience in architectural design

• Adobe Creative Suite
• Project Management Tools

• Team Leadership
• Analytical Skills

Certifications

• National Architectural Registration Board (NARB) certification
• Sustainable Sites Initiative certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in urban design: Background in urban planning projects and environmental assessments.
• Knowledge of heritage projects: Experience working on heritage-listed buildings and restoration designs.
