Construction Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale projects in Cape Town. You will be responsible for defining project scope, managing budgets, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalise construction projects according to deadlines and budget constraints.
• Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors.
• Prepare reports on progress, budgets, and expenses.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure project compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage procurement for materials and equipment.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
• Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Lead project meetings and presentations.
• Monitor and report construction progress against schedules.
• Facilitate training and development for team members.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
• Additional certifications in Construction Management are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of extensive project management experience in the construction industry
