Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale projects in Cape Town. You will be responsible for defining project scope, managing budgets, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of construction projects.
• Assess construction methods, materials, and equipment for efficiency.
• Coordinate building and construction progress with all project stakeholders.
• Establish quality standards and ensure compliance in all deliverables.
• Accountable for financial performance, budget management, and resource allocation.
• Implement sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
• Create project timelines and track milestones to completion.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Foster a culture of safety on the job site.
• Maintain effective communication flow between all project stakeholders.
• Develop contingency plans for potential project risks and delays.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
• Additional certifications in Construction Management are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of extensive project management experience in the construction industry
