Construction Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Manager with a proven track record in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, and the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for construction projects.
• Evaluate and approve design changes presented by architects and engineers.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities and expenses.
• Ensure the highest levels of workmanship and site safety.
• Engage in conflict resolution and negotiation with stakeholders when required.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Project Management is an advantage

Experience

• Preferably 10+ years of construction industry experience

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)

Languages

• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Familiarity with BIM software: Experience using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software for project visualization and planning.
• Experience in civil engineering projects: Background in managing large-scale civil engineering projects.
