Job Description

We are looking for a Factory Lead to oversee operations at our Johannesburg facility. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience in manufacturing processes and a knack for optimizing productivity. You will be responsible for managing the production team, ensuring safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all aspects of factory operations to meet production goals and quality standards.
  • Lead safety initiatives within the production team.
  • Develop and implement training plans to upskill workers.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas of improvement.
  • Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain high product standards.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers.
  • Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process including staffing, scheduling, and material procurement.
  • Lead team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
  • Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed rigorously.

Requirements

Education
  • National Diploma in Manufacturing or Engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management is advantageous
Experience
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
