High School Guidance Counselor

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced High School Guidance Counselor to support our students in navigating their academic and personal paths. You will play a vital role in providing guidance, facilitating workshops, and collaborating with educators to enhance student development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver counseling sessions addressing students' academic and personal challenges.
• Guide students in formulating educational and career goals.
• Utilize assessments to enhance students' self-awareness and development.
• Engage with families to provide updates on student progress.
• Host workshops focusing on essential life skills for high school students.
• Collaborate with faculty on student support initiatives.
• Evaluate and adjust counseling programs based on feedback.
• Develop partnerships for student internships and job shadowing.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in counseling or related field, preferably with high school students.

Certifications

• Valid counseling certification or license

• Multilingual proficiency: Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is a plus.
