Construction Project Manager

Job Description

As a Construction Project Manager in Cape Town, you will lead construction efforts, collaborate with subcontractors and clients, and manage project schedules and budgets. We’re looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional construction solutions.

Responsibilities

• Draft and maintain project plans, including scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Monitor and control project quality throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Ensure timely completion of projects and address any deviations from project plans.
• Create and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and updating forecasts.
• Assist in hiring and training project staff to enhance team capabilities.
• Engage with community stakeholders to address concerns related to the project.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Construction Management or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 7+ years of relevant project management experience

• Schedule Management

Certifications

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
• Lean Construction Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with international projects: Prior involvement in construction projects outside of South Africa.
• Knowledge of local building codes: Strong understanding of the regulatory environment in South Africa.
