Job Description

We are looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will analyze data to help assess risks and develop strategies for financial management and forecasting. You'll play a critical role in informing business decisions with your insights.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze statistical data to determine trends and patterns for risk assessment.
  • Develop financial models to project future revenue and assess liabilities.
  • Prepare detailed reports on risk and financial status for management.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to improve pricing strategies.
  • Support product development initiatives with actuarial input and insights.
  • Participate in regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with local regulatory standards.
  • Assist in pricing analysis for new insurance products.
  • Provide analytical support for the company's strategic planning.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. R, Python) is preferred
