Responsibilities

  • Offer expert advice on prescription and over-the-counter medications.
  • Conduct medication therapy reviews to ensure safe and effective treatment.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and therapeutic developments.
  • Engage in community health initiatives to improve public health.
  • Train and supervise pharmacy technicians and interns.
  • Implement quality assurance practices to enhance service delivery.
  • Support patient medication adherence programs and services.
  • Ensure the pharmacy operates in compliance with legal requirements.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a related field
  • Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting
