Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our compassionate team in Cape Town. You will provide high-quality veterinary services, perform surgeries, and offer support to animal owners while working alongside a skilled team of professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and emergency surgeries.
  • Examine animals and diagnose health problems.
  • Create treatment plans for patients based on their needs.
  • Educate pet owners on animal care and healthy practices.
  • Work in tandem with the support staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Document patient care and outcomes rigorously.
  • Research veterinary advancements to enhance practice standards.
  • Engage in community engagement activities focused on animal wellness.
  • Respond effectively in high-stress situations.
  • Mentor junior team members and interns.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Specialization in emergency or exotic animal care is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a veterinary setting preferred
