Painting Technician

Job Description

As a Painting Technician, you will be responsible for executing a range of painting tasks, ensuring immaculate finishes on both interior and exterior projects. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers and team members to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. Your ability to mix colors, prepare surfaces, and apply various coatings will play a vital role in meeting our clients' expectations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of surfaces for painting.
• Conduct thorough inspections of completed works for quality assurance.
• Ensure proper mixing and color matching of paints.
• Assist in inventory management of painting supplies.
• Document daily activities and project status updates.
• Implement health and safety protocols at all work sites.
• Communicate effectively with the project team to ensure alignment.
• Provide mentorship to new technicians and apprentices.
• Participate in team meetings to enhance project coordination.
• Utilise various painting techniques to achieve aesthetically pleasing results.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Certificate or Diploma in Painting and Decorating

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in both interior and exterior painting

Technical Skills

• Technical Knowledge of Paints
• Equipment Maintenance

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• Valid Driver's License
• PPE Training Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
