Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to lead various construction projects in Durban. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in project management within the construction sector, ensuring projects are completed on time, to budget, and in accordance with quality requirements. You will work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure alignment and transparency throughout all project phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning sessions to establish clear project goals and deliverables.
• Ensure that construction adheres to established schedules and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with the project team to resolve conflicts and facilitate cooperation.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets the desired standards.
• Track project milestones and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Manage project resources, including workforce and materials, to optimize productivity.
• Develop and implement project management methodologies and best practices.
• Mentor and supervise junior project staff, providing guidance and support.
• Evaluate project outcomes and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in large-scale construction projects

• Construction Management Software (e.g., Procore)
• Contract Negotiation

Languages

• English: Fluent
