Animal Control Worker

Job Description

We are looking for an Animal Control Worker to join our compassionate team. You will be responsible for the care and handling of animals in our shelter, ensuring they are well-fed, exercised, and happy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily needs of animals, including diet and exercise requirements.
• Ensure a safe and hygienic environment for all animals.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments to animals.
• Educate the public about responsible pet ownership and animal care.
• Assist in the training and behaviour modification of animals.
• Maintain accurate records of animal intake, medical history, and adoption.
• Coordinate with local shelters and rescue organizations.
• Participate in community events to promote animal welfare.
• Conduct health checks on incoming animals to determine care needed.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate in Animal Care or a related field

Experience

• Experience in customer service is advantageous.

Languages
