First-Aid Attendant

Job Description

Join our team as a First-Aid Attendant where you will provide essential first-aid and emergency medical care on-site. You’ll work closely with a dedicated healthcare team, ensuring that safety protocols are upheld in our dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer first-aid to individuals who have been injured or taken ill.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including accidents and incidents.
• Complete incident reports, detailing injuries and treatment provided.
• Maintain first-aid kits, ensuring all supplies are current and adequately stocked.
• Assist in training employees on workplace safety protocols.
• Perform health and safety inspections of the workplace.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure ongoing care.
• Encourage a culture of safety in the workplace through proactive practices.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Valid CPR and First Aid Certifications
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a first-aid or emergency response role

• Knowledge of first-aid procedures
• Emergency Medical Care

Certifications

• Occupational Health and Safety Certification
• Advanced First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
