We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of mechanical design principles and demonstrate expertise in applying engineering concepts to provide innovative solutions. Responsibilities include designing mechanical systems, conducting analyses, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical components.
• Conduct rigorous testing to support product development.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality.
• Document engineering processes and maintain records.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Lead engineering projects from concept to completion.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant engineering roles

Technical Skills

• Project Management Software (MS Project, Primavera)
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Strategic Planning
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
