IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated IT Support Technician to provide exceptional support and administration of IT services in our Cape Town office. This role will require excellent communication skills, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You will assist in supporting our users and optimizing our systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot end-user computing issues across various platforms.
• Assist with software deployments and upgrades.
• Maintain asset inventory for IT equipment.
• Contribute to the team's knowledge base with documented solutions.
• Interact with third-party service providers as necessary.
• Provide training support to enhance user engagement with IT systems.
• Implement security protocols for IT usage and data handling.
• Conduct user acceptance testing for new software solutions.
• Ensure adherence to IT policies and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Computer Science or a related field
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years supporting IT systems and users in an enterprise environment

• Linux OS
• VoIP Systems

Certifications

• CompTIA Network+ Certification
• Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Virtualization Technologies: Hands-on experience with VM technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
