Nursing Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Nursing Manager to oversee our nursing department in Durban. The successful candidate will be instrumental in promoting excellence in patient care and will lead a dedicated team of nurses. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining high standards of patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the nursing department.
• Develop nursing care plans based on patient needs and regulations.
• Assess departmental needs and implement improvement strategies.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to enhance overall healthcare delivery.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety standards.
• Drive initiatives for patient satisfaction and quality care.
• Lead recruitment and orientation of new nursing staff.
• Engage with external stakeholders to strengthen community health initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
• Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Management is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience with leadership experience preferred
