Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for engineering innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from conception to completion.
• Ensure designs meet customer requirements.
• Supervise installation of mechanical systems.
• Conduct regular evaluations of engineering processes.
• Foster a culture of safety within the engineering team.
• Contribute to strategic planning and development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Project Management Software
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project management experience: Previous experience managing engineering projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with renewable energy systems: Understanding of mechanical systems in renewable energy applications.
