Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee our operational facilities in Nelspruit. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient running of all facilities, from maintenance to compliance, ensuring a safe and productive environment for all employees.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operational budget and track expenses.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for facilities management.
• Oversee space management and allocation.
• Coordinate facility renovations and upgrades.
• Monitor and manage energy consumption and sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure timely reporting of maintenance issues and resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Develop strategic plans for future facility needs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Master's degree in Facilities Management is a plus

Experience

• 7+ years of leadership experience in facilities management

Technical Skills

• Facilities maintenance strategies
• Sustainability practices

Soft Skills

• Detail-oriented
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Sustainable Facility Professional (SFP)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge in LEED certification process: Experience in working towards or managing facilities aiming for LEED certification.
• Background in emergency management planning: Experience in creating and executing emergency preparedness plans for facilities.
