Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our fast-paced team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing engineering solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards. You will work collaboratively with a team of engineers and technicians to develop innovative products and systems, ensuring quality and efficiency are prioritized during the engineering process.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs from concept through to production.
• Work with teams to integrate electronic components into mechanical systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Participate in design reviews and manage feedback effectively.
• Create and manage project schedules, prioritizing tasks appropriately.
• Assist in establishing company standards and protocols for engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 3 years experience working in engineering environments

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Material Science

• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of robotics and automation: Experience with robotic systems and automation processes.
