Architect

Job Description

Our Architecture team in Johannesburg is looking for a detail-oriented Architect to lead projects in both residential and commercial spaces. This role will require interaction with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to successfully execute designs that meet both form and function, demonstrating a commitment to excellent service and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed architectural designs using CAD software.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Conduct regular site inspections and report on progress.
• Coordinate with consultants and specialists as needed.
• Conduct historical preservation assessments for restoration projects.
• Incorporate feedback into design revisions while maintaining project integrity.
• Develop proposals and presentations for new projects.
• Assist in developing architectural guidelines and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Certification with a professional body is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of professional architecture experience

Technical Skills

• Building Codes
• Sustainable Design

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership

Certifications

• Registered Architect
• LEED AP Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Master's degree in Architecture: Preferred for advanced design and project management roles.
