Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to oversee our supply chain operations in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will manage logistics processes, coordinate shipments, and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and experience in supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics and supply chain strategies.
• Coordinate logistics operations with various departments to ensure alignment.
• Evaluate transportation options and negotiate contracts with shipping companies.
• Manage returns and exchanges of non-compliant goods.
• Lead and participate in meetings to discuss logistics improvements.
• Provide training and support to team members on logistics systems and processes.
• Identify potential cost savings and process efficiencies.
• Ensure excellent customer service through effective logistics management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Higher education in Supply Chain Management preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in logistics coordination

Technical Skills

• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Data Analysis Tools

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Attention to detail

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Strong negotiation skills: Ability to negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers.
