Accountant

Job Description

Seeking a qualified Accountant for our growing team in Pretoria. This role includes managing financial statements, taxation, and providing financial insights to guide business decisions. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of local and international accounting regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and maintain accurate ledgers.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare tax returns and compliance documents.
• Monitor cash flow and financial transactions.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Ensure adherence to accounting principles and standards.
• Communicate financial information to non-financial staff.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CA(SA) or equivalent qualification is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles

Certifications

• CIMA or ACCA certification is a plus
