Job Description

We are looking for an empathetic and skilled Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselor to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide crucial support and counseling to individuals grappling with substance abuse issues, facilitating their journey towards recovery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments to identify substance abuse issues.
• Formulate and adjust individualized treatment plans.
• Lead group therapy sessions that promote open dialogue.
• Track client progress and adapt counseling methods as required.
• Work in conjunction with healthcare providers for optimal client care.
• Provide educational materials to clients and families regarding addiction.
• Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and training.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions.
• Participate in continuous education and training sessions.
• Advocate for clients' recovery within the treatment team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields
• Certification in Substance Abuse Counseling preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the addiction field

Certifications

• Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC)
• Professional Counseling License (LPC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
