Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Ichthyologist to join our passionate team focused on marine research and conservation. The ideal candidate will be adept at studying fish populations and their ecosystems, conducting significant research, and presenting findings to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct field research studies on fish behaviour and habitat requirements.
  • Utilize GIS software to map fish populations and their habitats.
  • Prepare and present scientific papers at conferences and workshops.
  • Supervise and mentor research assistants during field studies.
  • Develop conservation programs based on empirical research findings.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to promote sustainable practices.
  • Engage with local communities to support conservation efforts.
  • Assist in securing research funding through grant proposals.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology or Zoology
  • Master's in related field is preferred
