Public Health Specialist

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Public Health Specialist, where you will focus on improving health conditions in Durban through targeted community health programs. You will collaborate with stakeholders, collect and analyze health data, and advocate for effective health policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessments and surveys to identify community health needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate public health programs and initiatives.
• Collaborate with local government and organizations to promote health education.
• Analyze health data for trends and disparities in health outcomes.
• Develop and present reports summarizing health data and program effectiveness.
• Coordinate health outreach efforts in various communities.
• Advocate for health policy changes that benefit public health.
• Participate in community health committees to address local health issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health or community health programs
