Job Description

As a Woodworking Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining box blank machines. Your role will ensure the production of high-quality cardboard boxes that meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate box making machines to create high-quality cardboard boxes.
• Perform machine calibrations and adjustments before production runs.
• Conduct quality checks on produced boxes for adherence to specifications.
• Document production outputs and equipment performance metrics.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team for upkeep of machinery.
• Train and assist new operators in safe and efficient machine operation.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Training or certification in machine operations is an advantage

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in machine operation or a related field

Technical Skills

• Mechanical aptitude
• Attention to detail

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills

Advantageous

• Experience with box blank machines or similar equipment: Hands-on experience with box blank operations enhances production efficiency.
