Job Description

We are looking for a Structural Engineer who is passionate about innovative design and engineering excellence. In this role, you will work on diverse projects and collaborate with architects and contractors to ensure seamless implementation of structural designs.

Responsibilities

• Create structural designs that meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize industry-standard software for structural modeling and analysis.
• Perform load calculations and structural assessments.
• Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Prepare documentation for project submissions and approvals.
• Mentor junior staff and assist in their professional development.
• Evaluate materials and provide recommendations for durability and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop solutions for structural challenges.
• Assist in the planning and coordination of construction processes.
• Ensure quality assurance throughout the design and execution phases.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Reinforced Concrete Design

Certifications

• Project Management Qualification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous
