Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Insurance Underwriter to evaluate insurance applications, analyze risk, and approve coverage for clients. The ideal candidate will be adept at underwriting guidelines and possess strong analytical skills to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applications and assess risk factors associated with each application.
• Make informed decisions regarding the approval or rejection of applications.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to support client needs.
• Review underwriting guidelines and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Prepare reports detailing underwriting decisions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Act as a liaison between clients and the insurance providers, providing a high level of service.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 4-5 years of insurance underwriting experience preferred

Certifications

• Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)

Languages
