Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Insurance Underwriter to evaluate insurance applications, analyze risk, and approve coverage for clients. The ideal candidate will be adept at underwriting guidelines and possess strong analytical skills to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial documents and information to ascertain liabilities.
• Utilize underwriting software to assist in risk assessment.
• Communicate underwriting decisions clearly and promptly to clients and brokers.
• Monitor and review the performance of existing policies for necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation regarding the underwriting process.
• Provide exceptional customer support post-application approval.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 4-5 years of insurance underwriting experience preferred

Certifications

• Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)

Languages

• English: Fluent
