As a Dog Control Officer, you will enforce dog control regulations to maintain public safety while ensuring the humane treatment of animals. You will respond to complaints about dog-related issues and educate the public on responsible dog ownership.
Responsibilities
Patrol designated areas to enforce animal control laws.
Respond to reports of stray dogs and animal abuse.
Assist in rehoming abandoned or confiscated dogs.
Document cases of animal abuse and neglect.
Conduct public outreach and community education on dog safety.
Work with law enforcement officers when necessary.
Ensure the welfare of dogs under your care at all times.
Assist in fundraising efforts for animal welfare initiatives.

Education
Matric Certificate or equivalent
Relevant diploma in animal care preferred
Experience
2+ years in related field, preferably in law enforcement or animal control
