Pharmacist

Job Description

As a Pharmacist at Top Pharmacy R Us, you will dispense medications, offer counsel to patients on drug interactions, and ensure compliance with local health regulations. Your expert knowledge will play a crucial role in our mission to provide quality patient-focused services.

Responsibilities

• Implement pharmacy policies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Train and mentor junior staff and pharmacy students.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
• Gather feedback from patients to improve service quality.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions within the pharmacy.
• Support the pharmacy manager in staffing and business strategies.
• Promote the use of generic medications when appropriate.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Postgraduate qualification in Pharmacy practice is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years' experience in retail pharmacy or clinical pharmacy

• Drug Dispensing

Certifications

• Certified in Immunization Delivery
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English & Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans with patients.
• Clinical pharmacy experience: Prior experience in a clinical pharmacy setting is a plus.
