Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of mechanical design and analysis, with hands-on experience in engineering processes. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success from conception through to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify engineering designs using CAD software.
• Optimize production workflows to enhance efficiency.
• Interface with suppliers and manufacturers for material sourcing.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Lead small project teams through the project lifecycle.
• Conduct risk assessments for engineering projects.
• Ensure all engineering practices adhere to environmental and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Professional certifications, such as PMP or PRINCE2, are beneficial

Experience

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
