Job Description

Join our team as a Zoo Veterinarian, where you will ensure the health and welfare of our animals. You'll perform surgery, diagnose conditions, and collaborate with a team committed to wildlife conservation.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat various animal diseases and injuries.
  • Develop treatment plans tailored to individual animal needs.
  • Engage in community outreach and educational programs about wildlife conservation.
  • Collaborate with conservationists on animal welfare initiatives.
  • Supervise veterinary interns and students.
  • Manage and operate diagnostic equipment and laboratory procedures.
  • Review and update protocols for the treatment and care of zoo animals.
  • Conduct workshops for staff on animal handling and veterinary practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualification in Zoo or Wildlife Medicine (advantageous)
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in veterinary practice, preferably with exotic or wildlife animals.
