Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter, you will evaluate insurance applications and determine coverage terms and premiums. You will play a critical role in assessing risk and ensuring the stability of our portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyze data from various sources to inform coverage decisions.
• Identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Prepare reports on underwriting activity and outcomes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.
• Participate in training and professional development initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management or related field
• MBA or equivalent is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry with underwriting experience

Certifications

• Fellow of the Institute of Risk Management (FIRM)
