Renewable Energy Planner

Job Description

We are seeking a Renewable Energy Planner to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will collaborate with project managers and engineers to design and implement renewable energy projects. You will conduct feasibility studies, analyze data, and ensure projects align with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth market analysis for renewable energy initiatives in the region.
• Facilitate workshops and outreach programs to educate communities on renewable energy benefits.
• Work closely with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental laws.
• Develop and implement policy recommendations to support renewable energy growth.
• Identify and mitigate potential project risks, including environmental and social impacts.
• Support sales and marketing teams with technical expertise on renewable energy solutions.
• Drive innovation by researching new technologies and methods in the renewable energy sector.
• Lead project meetings, ensuring all team members are informed and aligned.
• Document project progress and provide recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Renewables or Sustainability is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in renewable energy planning and development

• GIS Software Proficiency

Languages
