Job Description

The Gyroscopic Engineering Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting gyroscopes in various mechanical systems. This role requires close collaboration with engineers and other technicians to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment. Ideal candidates will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installations of gyroscopic systems in various mechanical environments.
• Analyze system failures and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for necessary parts and equipment.
• Participate in R&D projects related to gyroscopic technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferable

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in gyroscopic or aerospace systems

Technical Skills

• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
• Knowledge of CAD software

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certification in PLC programming

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Certification in 3D CAD software: Familiarity with advanced CAD software is preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles: Understanding of Lean principles to enhance workflow efficiency.
