Job Description

In your role as a Microbiology Technologist, you'll be working in a fast-paced laboratory environment where you'll conduct various microbiological tests and analyses. Your expertise will support our commitment to maintaining high standards in quality and compliance, ensuring effective operations within our laboratory.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed microbiological tests on samples and document findings accurately.
  • Prepare and sterilize laboratory tools and media necessary for various analyses.
  • Maintain and regularly check laboratory equipment for optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with other scientific staff to support product development initiatives.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and ensure effective communication of results.
  • Follow and promote best laboratory practices to strengthen safety measures.
  • Mentor and train new technicians, providing them insights into effective laboratory management.
  • Engage in continuous learning through professional development courses and workshops.
  • Review scientific literature to integrate innovative techniques within laboratory practices.
  • Contribute to internal quality audits and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • BSc in Microbiology or a closely related field
  • Masters qualifications are advantageous
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting
