Job Description

We are currently seeking a Mental Health Counselor to join our compassionate team in Durban. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic support to individuals facing mental health challenges, employing a range of counseling techniques and methodologies. Responsibilities

  • Assess client mental health status and create treatment plans accordingly.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions with a focus on recovery.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for client-centered care.
  • Conduct workshops and seminars on mental health awareness.
  • Engage clients in self-help strategies and coping mechanisms.
  • Monitor and record client outcomes and effectiveness of therapy.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients' families.
  • Utilize technology for client communication and resource sharing.
  • Participate in community mental health initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling or Psychology
  • Clinical Psychology degree is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in mental health settings
