Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to veterinarians during surgical procedures.
• Administer anesthesia and monitor pets' vital signs.
• Collect and prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care options.
• Maintain surgical and medical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in managing inventory of medical supplies.
• Participate in outreach programs for pet health awareness.
• Help train and mentor junior veterinary staff.
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Veterinary Science or related field
• Certification from a veterinary technician program is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a veterinary setting

Certifications

• Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE)
• Basic Life Support Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
