UI Developer

Job Description

We are searching for a creative UX Designer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces. You will work closely with developers and product managers to bring innovative design ideas to life. Your role will be critical in shaping the user experience of our products, ensuring usability and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features based on user feedback.
• Ensure all applications are compliant with accessibility standards.
• Communicate effectively with the design and development teams.
• Collaborate with external design partners for special projects.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation.
• Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends and competitor products.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or similar
• Additional training in Graphic Design is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in front-end development

Technical Skills

• CSS Preprocessors (Sass/LESS)
• Version Control (Git)

Soft Skills

• Creative thinking
• Communication

Certifications

• User Interface Certification
• Adobe Certified Expert (ACE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWAs): Understanding of PWA principles to enhance user experiences.
• Familiarity with APIs and AJAX: Experience in using APIs for seamless front-end connections.
