Job Description

As a Social Worker with Community Welfare Services in Durban, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families facing various challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience in case management, social assessments, and be passionate about improving community welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Identify clients' specific needs and refer them to appropriate services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
  • Conduct workshops on topics such as mental health, parenting, and nutrition.
  • Support clients in goal setting and life skills development.
  • Provide education on social support systems and entitlements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Network with other social service organizations to enhance client support.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed of best practices.
  • Participate in outreach programs to raise awareness of available services.
  • Contribute to reports and documentation for funding and evaluation purposes.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work
  • Master's in Sociology or related field is a plus
