Social Worker

Job Description

As a Social Worker in Durban, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting individuals and families facing various challenges. You'll assess client needs, develop intervention plans, and provide counseling services. You will work collaboratively with community resources to enhance the well-being of at-risk populations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments to identify clients' challenges.
• Design individualized plans that address specific client needs.
• Facilitate support groups and provide direct counseling.
• Engage with local community organizations to gather resources for clients.
• Monitor client progress and adjust plans as necessary.
• Document all client interactions and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW)
• Master's in Social Work (MSW) is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in a social work setting, preferably with vulnerable populations

Certifications

• Registered Social Worker

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
