Job Description

We are on the hunt for an experienced Pharmacist who is passionate about improving patient health through careful medication management and effective patient communication. As a vital member of our team, you'll ensure that the pharmacy operates efficiently and meets all health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions for legality, appropriateness, and safety.
• Advise patients on medication adherence and lifestyle adjustments.
• Document relevant patient information and medication history.
• Assist with training and supervising pharmacy support staff.
• Stay updated on pharmacy regulations and industry trends.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or equivalent
• Postgraduate diploma in Clinical Pharmacy is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail pharmacy

• Medication Management

Certifications

• Current SAPC registration

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Knowledge of chronic disease management: Familiarity with managing and advising on chronic health conditions.
• Experience in a community pharmacy setting: Previous experience working directly with patients in a community space.
