Job Description

As a Pharmacist in our Pretoria branch, you will provide essential pharmaceutical care, offer advice to patients on medication management, and ensure the pharmaceutical service operates efficiently. A proactive attitude and commitment to patient wellbeing are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Provide accurate and informative advice to patients regarding their prescriptions.
• Monitor patient health and progress and make recommendations to healthcare providers as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with South African pharmacy regulations and standards.
• Manage medication inventory and handle pharmaceutical products safely and effectively.
• Conduct health screenings and provide immunizations as required.
• Educate patients on medication usage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in continuous professional development and stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements.
• Maintain accurate records of medications and patient interactions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) from an accredited institution
• Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting
