Job Description

The Machine Operator Slitter Technician will oversee the operation of slitting machines, ensuring the production of high-quality materials while adhering to strict safety and quality control standards. The technician must have a keen eye for detail and the ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during the production process.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting machines to cut materials according to specifications.
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Adjust machine settings based on production requirements.
• Monitor production output and adjust settings as necessary.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with other members of the production team for timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Troubleshoot and solve technical problems during the operation.
• Complete daily maintenance checks on machinery.
• Assist in inventory management for materials used in production.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate
• Technical or Mechanical qualification preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience operating slitting machines preferred.

Languages

• English: Fluent
