Job Description

We are seeking an Urban Planner to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainable urban development, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions for our urban environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee urban development projects from conception through implementation.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to support planning decisions.
  • Prepare and present reports to city councils and planning commissions.
  • Develop strategies to promote sustainable development and community revitalization.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure project success.
  • Identify funding opportunities and assist in grant applications and proposals.
  • Mentor junior planners and provide guidance on project-related tasks.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in urban planning
