Job Description

As a Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging learning environment for young children. Your role will focus on promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development through structured activities and nurturing interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the individual needs of each child and tailor activities accordingly.
  • Utilize play-based learning techniques to enhance engagement.
  • Establish guidelines for classroom behavior and enforce them consistently.
  • Build strong relationships with children and foster trust.
  • Conduct themed educational programs that encourage creativity.
  • Coordinate with nutritionists to ensure healthy meal plans.
  • Create and maintain a stimulating classroom environment with appropriate resources.
  • Foster an appreciation for diversity within the classroom.
  • Implement health and safety protocols to ensure child welfare.
  • Encourage parental involvement through regular updates and workshops.

Requirements

Education
  • Minimum of a Matric (Grade 12) certificate
  • ECD qualification or equivalent
Experience
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in early childhood education
Technical Skills
  • Educational software and learning apps
  • Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curricula
Soft Skills
  • Creativity
  • Flexibility
Certifications
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Relevant additional certifications is advantageous
Languages
  • English: Fluent
