Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort while utilizing advanced imaging technology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of imaging procedures such as X-rays and CT scans.
• Guide patients through the imaging process while explaining procedures.
• Monitor patient reactions and provide necessary care post-procedure.
• Perform routine maintenance on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate with healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to patient imaging records.
• Engage in continuing education to stay current with advancements in imaging technology.
• Participate in quality assurance protocols.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Radiology
• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in clinical radiology

Technical Skills

• CT Imaging
• X-ray Techniques

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Empathy

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Radiologic Technologist License

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Certification in MRI technology: Qualified to perform magnetic resonance imaging is a plus.
• Understanding of radiologic anatomy: Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to imaging practices.
