Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Accountant to support our Durban team. Your main responsibilities will include bookkeeping, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate records. A positive attitude and a proactive approach will help you succeed in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with auditors for annual audits.
• Develop and implement internal controls.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
• Support payroll processing as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA(SA) or CIMA) is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance

Technical Skills

• Financial Analysis
• Accounting Software (e.g., Pastel, Sage)
• Excel

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Chartered Accountant (CA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with financial software implementation.: Hands-on experience with accounting software implementation and management.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance.: Experience with Value Added Tax compliance and reporting.
