Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in veterinary medicine and will be committed to improving animal health and welfare. You will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and preventing animals' diseases and injuries while providing outstanding care to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat chronic and acute conditions in animals.
  • Perform routine and complex surgeries while ensuring patient safety.
  • Develop treatment plans in consultation with pet owners and explain options clearly.
  • Actively engage in continuing education to stay abreast of veterinary best practices.
  • Assist in the management of clinic inventory and supplies.
  • Participate in case reviews and team meetings to enhance service delivery.
  • Contribute to customer service excellence in client interactions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVSc)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Veterinary Surgery is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in a clinical veterinary setting preferred
