Urban Planner

Job Description

In this role, you will work closely with local government and community leaders to design and implement urban strategies that promote sustainable growth and enhance the quality of life in our city.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement urban planning projects, taking sustainable practices into consideration.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to remove barriers to effective urban development.
• Analyze demographic and economic data to guide strategic planning decisions.
• Facilitate public meetings to discuss planning proposals and gather feedback.
• Perform site assessments and feasibility studies for proposed development projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with municipal agencies and community organizations.
• Provide guidance on compliance with zoning laws and environmental regulations.
• Utilize GIS software for spatial analysis and planning documentation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or a related field
• Master's degree in Urban Development or Planning is highly regarded

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in urban planning

• Project Management Software

Certifications

• Certified Planner (AICP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
